Chapters 9-12 really wrapped up the book. In the beginning of chapter 9 Charles Wallace had already been hypnotized by IT. Charles Wallace takes Calvin and Meg to Mr. Murry, Meg and Charles Wallace's father, but he wants nothing to do with him. Meg sees her father but can't get to him. Calvin tells Meg to use the glasses that Mrs. Who gave her, and she gets through the transparent column that was seperating them and her dad. Her dad was trapped in the darkness, but Meg and her dad get back out to Calvin. Charles Wallace takes Calvin, Meg, and her dad to IT. IT is in a dome shaped building, and when you see it there is a violet light. The build sucks you in. When they get in, they discover that IT is an alive brain. IT tries to take over Mr. Murry, Meg, and Calvin's brain, and when Meg almost gives in Mr. Murry tesselates them out of there, leaving Charles Wallace behind. Meg almost got pulled away from Mr. Murry while tesselating by the darkness. Mr. Murry didn't have as much experience in tesselating as Mrs. Which did. They landed on some strange planet, and Meg was unconsious, and paralyzed by the coldness of the dark thing. Three strange very tall creature with tentacles and no eyes save them. A creature that Meg names Aunt Beast helps comfort and treat her. These creatures and Mr. Murry, Meg, and Calvin team up to try to destroy the darkness, and find Charles Wallace. Mrs. Which, Mrs. Whatsit, and Mrs. Who show up too. They decide that Meg is the one to go and save Charles Wallace. This time when Meg goes the main gift she is given is love. Mrs. Which tesselates Meg back to Camazotz. She tells her that she has something that IT doesn't have. After Mrs. Which leaves, Meg makes her way to the dome shaped building. She gets sucked in and sees Charles Wallace still at IT's side. She tries to fight out IT. She figures out that she has love and IT doesn't. She uses this to get Charles Wallace back. She shows her love, and gets the real Charles Wallace back. They are tesselated back to Earth. MR. Murry, Calvin, Meg, and Charles Wallace are reunited with Mrs. Murry and the twins.
These chapters made a great ending to this book. The book was great. It was full of danger, excitement, adventures, love, and hard work. The characters go through tremendous danger, and experience extreme excitement. They go on life saving adventures, and use love to fight for what they believe in, and most of all they really show what they can do by all of the hard work that they show throughout this book. I thought that this book was amazing, and really showed me that hard work will pay off, and that you should always fight for what you believe in.
